A sign on Stockiemuir Road says that the road will be closed from 10th June for one week for re-surfacing. This is from Craigton Road to Carbeth. i.e. covering a few miles stretch past Hilton Park Golf Club.
The businesses have not been advised of this so the council have been contacted and they have assured us that although the sign says the road is closed there will be local access to the Club and there will be people at both ends of the road. There may, however, be a delay in being allowed through because of tarring so their advice is allow an extra 20 minutes onto your journey.
Lorna McClymont is off to America as one of two Scots in an international team to play in the Arnold Palmer Cup. This takes place at the Alotian Club from 7-9th June.
We wish her all the best in this event.
