After 3 years of trying Joyce finally cracked the weather. The annual (first one for years!) caddies competition was played on Sunday 20th October, on a glorious day at Balmore Golf Club. There were a lot of good scores with the winning team Lynn McColl, Kath Brown and Janet Buchanan. Thanks to Balmore for allowing us the use of the course and to Joyce for sorting a dry day for us.

Sophie Murphy won the 2019 Junior Championship. Played in glorious sunshine at Clydebank and District Golf Club, she won with a scratch 79. Winner of the Cowan Cup was Kirstie Soutar. County President Fiona Cowan presented the girls with their trophies. This year we also ran a pre-handicap competition over 9 holes to encourage some of our new girls to play. Lily McGrandles (Dumbarton) and Bella Lakeland-Newman (Cardross) both braved the heat and had equal scores over 9 holes.
